Talk: Introducing new racial features: Bespoke eye textures

This article doesn't seem to include information on custom eyes, Would anyone be against me throwing out a breif descript of how to do so? I'll try to include as many pictures as a can while trying to follow the theme of the red breton if I get the say-so.

What about a link to a popular, free image editor which happens to support .dds files? paint.net

Models disappear when duplicating race

Whenever I try to duplicate a non-playable race, the model for the duplicated race becomes invisible, both in game, and in the preview window. When I duplicate a playable race, it appears as a floating head. Anyone know why this is and how to correct it? It still shows that the models are assigned properly in the body data tab, I've tried changing the model from skeleton.nif to giant.nif (I'm actually trying to make a giant race that you can speak with) and I could see the model, but upon approaching it, it glitches out and goes into the ground upside down, and I cannot interact with it. I can interact with the invisible model though, I can also see a floating club that the giant is holding, and it's at the appropriate height and whatnot. Any ideas? I imagine it just has to be bugged or something, it shouldn't be this difficult, and a race that is merely duplicated from another race SHOULD retain its model information, that's the whole point of duplicating!

Edit: I wasn't trying to add a section, however, if people want to take a look at this and determine if it is a confirmed bug, or an issue with my approach, that would be most helpful for everyone I would imagine, and a new section could spawn from this.

You have to "First, under Copied Data, set BretonRace for Morph Race and Armor Race. Morph Race sets this race to use any face morph and HeadPart assigned to BretonRace. Armor Race automatically flags this race for all armor pieces, otherwise armor or clothing won't be visible later when we check in-game." That's what I forgot to do, too. ;) It is mentioned in the tutorial. Dog 02:22, 14 February 2012 (EST)

My RACE has not got a torso, hands etc.

Hey! I created a Nord like race, added a power, created some things. But when I put it in-game, I saw it hasn't got body, only head.

There is an error with MaleHeadRaces.tri

Not enough information

I have tried to create a custom race following this tutorial, only picking a custom Orc race rather than a custom Breton race. The rest of the races will get a custom version later. Everything in the creation process worked fine until I got to the category "Hairstyles and beards".

I wanted to make a unique list for my Black Orc race, but it is not explained (in detail) how to do so. Also, I don't want to put all standard orc hair styles on the new race, since I planned on using two Nord hair styles, "HairMaleNord18" and "HairMaleNord04". I haven't yet decided on which female hair styles I want to use. I'm planning to adjust the editor ID's to fit my custom race, which brings us to this thing with hair lines. The hair lines seem to remain on their original Nord ones.

Also, since I have my own three hair colours and two skin tones for this race, the preset NPC's are no longer relevant... I think. All original hair colours and skin tones have been removed.

I'd like to have the following questions answered:

1: How can I make a unique and WORKING FormList for my Black Orc race?

2: How can I make custom hair styles and add them to this list?

3: How can I fix the hair line issue, if it needs to be fixed?

4: How can I get rid of all old preset NPC's and put new ones in place?

I may get more questions as this situation develops, but for now these are the questions I have.
