serious bug

I noticed that "Cell coordinates" is not documented. If you change these settings (let's say you have a 3x3 custom worldspace and edit this, the LOD for any objects beyond that will be cut off. THIS WILL NOT FIX ITSELF IF YOU REMOVE THIS EDIT. In other words, if you edit these values, distant LOD will be broken and remain broken, no matter what you do after that. I've tried resetting/altering the values in CK, removing them with tes5edit, and any number of things but the only thing to do is to go back to an earlier backup.

Not solved problems

Hi there, I am trying to create a new world space, and in the creation kit the field "Use LOD data" is disabled meaning I cannot click it. In this article it sais that if I select NONE as parent world space I will be able to to click the "use LOD data", but in my case it is the opposite. Unless I select a parent world space I won't be able to click it.

Please help me.

It seems the page is incorrect. Sharable data should indeed only be able to be selected when the worldspace has a parent, as sharable data refers to data being imported from the parent i think. I shall edit the page accordingly. Darxicus (talk) 2014-05-17T14:38:14 (EDT)

Problems solved

Hi

I think I've found a strange bug related to grass. I've created new World Spaces and everything shows ok in the CK, however ingame the grass doesn't appear.

Solution is:

I think someone/some folk had a similar problem to yours a while ago and their vanilla grass was not showing ingame. I can't remember what the solution was, but it may have had something to do with the .ini files (as mentioned earlier).

I'll post my .ini settings for grass and you can see if it helps.

Skyrim.ini (My Documents -> My Games -> Skyrim)

  • [Grass]
  • b30GrassVS=0
  • bAllowLoadGrass=0
  • bAllowCreateGrass=1
  • bDrawShaderGrass=1

SkyrimEditor.ini (Same folder as TESV.exe and CreationKit.exe)

  • [Grass]
  • iMinGrassSize=20
  • bGrassPointLighting=0
  • bDrawShaderGrass=1
  • iGrassDensityEvalSize=2
  • iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=2
  • fWaveOffsetRange=1.7500
  • fGrassWindMagnitudeMax=125.0000
  • fGrassWindMagnitudeMin=5.0000
  • fTexturePctThreshold=0.0000
  • fGrassMinStartFadeDistance=0.0
  • fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=7000.0
  • fGrassDefaultStartFadeDistance=3500.0
  • fGrassFadeRange=1000.0
  • bAllowCreateGrass=1
  • bAllowLoadGrass=0

Look at those two files in Notepad and compare the settings above with your own, under the [Grass] section. If there are some missing, just paste them in from the settings above.

Thanks to Tamb0

Grass Showing up in wrong World Space

Hello,

I have a serious issue; I have grass from one World Space showing up in both other world spaces and in-game. I have looked around for a fix, but to no avail. Do you think there's a solution to this?

Duplicating Worldspace

when I duplicate a worldspace, the creation kit freezes.

I tried duplicating "Tamriel" and "WhiterunWorld" each attempt resulted in the program freezing.

When I create my own world-space, NPC behave strange there, they don't walk, or they don't combat etc, there are often holes in the map where you fall down to a lower landscape square way below, or suddenly fall down a hole and pop up to a high level landscape in the sky. this is why I wished to duplicate an existing world-space, to get around those issues and simply edit the duplicate but duplicating is not working.
