Reverse engineeringEdit

There are three places that influence whether an actor is a ghost:

  • The cached "Ghost" value in their AIProcess's CachedValues, if the actor has both ExtraGhost and an AI process.
  • The boolean in ExtraGhost, if it's present.
  • The "Ghost" flag on their base form, if ExtraGhost is not present.

I haven't examined every behavior that relates to ghost checks, but I can say this: if an actor is a ghost, then Actor's override of MagicTarget::AddTarget will prevent the actor from being targeted by a spell that meets all of these conditions:

  • It's not an armor enchantment.
  • Either:
    • The actor is the player and the spell's type isn't any of: Disease; Ability; Addiction
    • or the actor isn't the player and the spell isn't an Ability.
