GetAngleY - ObjectReference

Revision as of 11:39, 8 September 2012 by imported>Chesko (Replaced "X angle" with "Y angle" in Notes)

Member of: ObjectReference Script

Gets this object's rotation around the y axis.

Syntax

float Function GetAngleY() native

Parameters

None.

Return Value

This object's rotation around the y axis, in degrees.

Examples

Debug.Trace("We are rotated " + GetAngleY() + " degrees around the Y axis")

Notes

  • The Y angle is a value (theorically) from -90 to 90. For the player, at least, however, the true in-game range is -89 to 89, with -89 if the player is looking above himself, and 89 if player is looking at his feet. Note that the player actually is looking 89 degrees above or below horizontal — you cannot look exactly up or exactly down in game.
