Association Type

Association Types are part of the Relationship system, and represent the different kinds of social connections the people of Skyrim have. (For example: two Actors might be Cousins or Siblings.) The list of Association Types appear in the Object Window under Character.

Association Type Window[edit | edit source]

  • ID: The Editor ID for the Association Type. When you use the HasAssociation function, this is the name the function will be looking for when it asks for Association Type.
  • Parent Labels: The name of the Association Type for the Parent of relationship. For example: A "Mother" is the parent in the relationship between "Mother" and "Child," while a "Boss" is the parent in the relationship between "Boss" and "Employee."
    • M: The masculine form of the Parent relationship (for example: "Father")
    • F: The feminine form of the Parent relationship (for example: "Mother")
  • Child Labels: The name of the Association Type for the Child of the relationship.
    • M: The masculine form of the Child relationship (for example: "Son")
    • F: The feminine form of the Child relationship (for example: "Daughter")
  • Family Association: Checkbox. If checked, this Association Type is a Family Association. Mainly used for the HasFamilyRelationship function.
