Notes

• This function does not yield to ensure that the alias is cleared prior to allowing subsequent code to pass
• under light VM load, or low alias contention, Clear() processes near immediately
• however it is possible to have this task defer, or queue and process later as opposed to immediately
• Clear will be refused for any non-optional alias, and will only warn you in logs about it if directly coded in or the "Warn on alias fill failure" flag is checked in the quest flags of the parent quest.
