I've recently been going through these tutorials and trying to add in solutions I've found. If anyone has any questions for me, post them here, as I'm more likely to check this than each individual tutorial page. That being said, I've added:

  1. "Adding Objective Markers for Dummies" at http://www.creationkit.com/Talk:Bethesda_Tutorial_Quest_Loose_Ends
  2. The save and load trick to getting custom dialog working at http://www.creationkit.com/Talk:Bethesda_Tutorial_Dialogue

Feel free to email me at Kevin@GameDesignforCherryTea.com if you have any questions. Otherwise, I hope to continue being helpful when possible.

HUD Marker Not AppearingEdit

Cheers, I'm glad someone is willing to help as this is driving me nuts.

I managed to add a map marker quite easily and the map location gets marked as there but undiscovered as desired, but:

1. there is no arrow pointing to the location in the HUD compass when the quest is selected and active;

2. when I look at the journal entry and press M, nothing happens and it doesn't go to the map and show the destination location on the map like it should. It makes a thud noise like when the quest is completed.

How do I add a HUD Compass Marker to my mod?

It's a very simple mod (my first quest mod):

a) read this letter,

b) go to this place and find a book

c) read the book and learn new smithing recipes.

Everything works except the compass markers on the HUD.

Cheers
