Could it be true that their is an wrong discription in "Bethesda Tutorial Layout Part 2 // Transitions" ?

If i put that pieces into the Preview Window ->

CaveGLWallDoorL01 CaveGLWallDoorLB01 CaveGLHall1Way01

the pieces are to Big so i can't arrange them only by moving with or without Snap. In my little Tutorial Test i must scale them also - Is it an wrong step by myself or is the Tutorialpart wrong ?

They are supposed to be large pieces. You need to assemble the entire cave section off in the void somewhere, then turn off the angle and grid snaps, and position them correctly.--Electrosheep 22:11, 21 February 2012 (EST)

Filling in the gaps[edit source]

In the last section, filling in the caps, a cliff is used below the entrence, but there is no mention of it in the materials, nor is it in the materials-screenshot. The cliff used is a CaveGCliffs01.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. I've edited to relieve anyone's confusion. --Catwheezle 18:06, 29 March 2012 (EDT)

Snap to Angle off-grid[edit source]

Strange one. As suggested I detached one corner of my cave, moved it away, turned it and snapped to the global grid. When I set the local grid back to the cave, it positioned correctly, but on rotation, it was 1 degree out. I opened the properties for both pieces; the one I was locking the reference to was set at RotZ = -45.8363. The corner I was attempting to place next to it was at RotZ = -44.8363. I tried resetting the local grid, but it would still not rotate into place. In the end, I set the RotZ value manually and the seams disappeared. SirHackenslash 13:11, 8 May 2012 (EDT)

  • I can't seem to use Snap-to-Reference. It doesn't matter if I press Shift+Q or I click on the Snap to Reference button in preferences the objects don't want to snap into their positions. Any idea what is missing? --VikMorroHun (talk) 13:16, 8 January 2013 (EST)

Wrong Pieces in the transition topic[edit source]

The wrong pieces are written down in the transition topic. On the screenshot the pieces: CaveGLWallDoorL01 and CaveGLWallDoorLB01 are used, but in the text the pieces CaveGLEWallDoorLB01 and CaveGLEWallDoorL01 are recommended.

That's fixed now, but NorHallBG1way01 was not added in the previous tutorial. The suggestion "Create a duplicate of NorHallBG1way01 (select the existing piece and ctrl+D)" for me is simply to drag a new one in and make a duplicate of it.--Lmstearn (talk) 2014-11-03T04:02:31 (EST)

Before & After Pics[edit source]

Despairing to find any difference in the example screenshots: Fig 2.10, Fig 2.11, Fig 2.13, Fig 2.14. Are these as intended?--Lmstearn (talk) 2014-11-05T05:23:14 (EST)
